Federal apostilles start at $125 plus $25 per apostille certificate for standard service (about 3 weeks). Expedited service (9 business days) is $195 plus $25 per certificate. Government fees and U.S. return shipping are included.
An FBI background check is $95, with live scan fingerprinting at our Washington, DC or Arlington office. Most reports come back the same business day as a signed PDF. If you need it apostilled for use abroad, federal apostille service starts at $125.
Notary services start at $95. Your price depends on the number of documents and signers and where you need us. Mobile notary is available in DC, Virginia, Maryland, New York, Texas, Florida and California, and online notarization works from anywhere.
Embassy and consulate legalization and attestation start at $495. Your final price depends on the country, the number of documents and the embassy's own fees. Tell us the destination country for an exact quote.
We accept credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, checks, Venmo, and Zelle as payment. We can also send you an invoice to your email.
If we cannot complete a service, we will refund our service fees paid for that incomplete service in full. Government fees, embassy fees, shipping charges and other third-party costs are not included in this service-fee refund.

An apostille is a certificate that makes a U.S. public document valid in the 120+ countries of the Hague Apostille Convention. Documents going to countries outside the Convention, such as the UAE, Qatar or Kuwait, need embassy legalization instead.
It depends on where you'll use your document. Countries in the Hague Apostille Convention, such as Spain, Italy, Mexico, India and Korea, accept an apostille. Countries outside it, such as the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait and Thailand, need authentication plus embassy or consulate legalization. Tell us the country and we'll confirm the right route before you pay.
Whoever issued your document decides. State documents, such as birth and marriage certificates, diplomas and anything notarized, are apostilled by that state's Secretary of State. Federal documents, such as FBI background checks and USCIS, National Archives, IRS and Social Security records, are apostilled only by the U.S. Department of State. We handle both.

If you mail it to the U.S. Department of State yourself, it's processed within 5 weeks of receipt, about 5–6 weeks door to door. With our expedited service it takes 9 business days, because we hand-deliver your documents from our office minutes from the State Department. Standard service takes about 3 weeks.
Yes, for documents notarized in DC or issued by a DC agency, when you book before 11 a.m. Maryland and Virginia apostilles take a few business days, and other states vary. No. Certified vital records and federal documents are apostilled as issued. The U.S. Department of State warns that notarizing an original federal document makes it invalid. Send us the document as it is and we'll confirm the right route.

Yes. We retrieve certified documents in Washington, DC, Maryland, Virginia and New York, including certified and triple-seal marriage certificates from local courts, usually in 1–2 business days, and then handle the apostille.
A triple seal certificate is a certified copy of a court record, most often a marriage certificate, that carries three certifications from the court. Some countries and consulates require it before the apostille. We get them from courts in Washington, DC and from the Fairfax, Arlington, Alexandria and Montgomery County circuit courts, usually in 1–2 business days, starting at $195 for the first copy and $25 for each additional copy. Yes. Book a live scan appointment at our Washington, DC or Arlington office and bring a valid photo ID. An FBI background check is $95. We submit your fingerprints electronically through an FBI-approved channeler, and most reports come back within hours as a signed PDF. Same-day service is for U.S. citizens and green card holders.
Yes. FBI reports are federal documents, so the U.S. Department of State issues the apostille. Just email us the electronic FBI PDF, with nothing to mail. Our expedited service takes 9 business days, and we ship the apostilled report anywhere in the world.
The FBI sets no expiration date, but most consulates and agencies want a report issued within the last 3–6 months. Check your destination's requirement before you apply.
Yes. We capture your fingerprints on live scan and print them onto FD-258 cards in about 10–15 minutes, at our Arlington office or at your location in DC, Northern Virginia and Maryland. The service cost is $55.
Yes, we do provide mobile live scan fingerprinting. We bring a portable live scan device to homes, offices, hospitals and care facilities in Washington, DC, Northern Virginia and Maryland, and we can fingerprint families and teams in one visit.
Yes. We prepare fingerprints for ATF National Firearms Act applications, including Form 1 and Form 4: FD-258 cards for paper filings, or electronic fingerprint (EFT) files for eForms. Available at our offices or by mobile appointment.
Yes. We fingerprint for Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) background checks for Florida professional licensing and employment, even if you live outside Florida. Pricing is based on the agency's actual cost plus our service fee.
